Army Hawaii Family Housing LLC is the largest residential privatization project ever awarded by the Department of Defense. The partnership will develop, design and construct more than 5,000 new homes, renovate 2,500 existing homes, and provide property and maintenance management for the U.S. Army Garrison, Hawaii through 2054. The initial 10-year development period is valued at $2.33 billion and $5.35 billion over the 50- year partnership. Since the project was awarded in 2004, more than 2,000 new homes and five community centers with a wide-range of amenities have been completed.

AHFH is a successful model for sustainable development. Innovative programs, methods and technologies have been implemented from urban planning, home design, demolition and construction phases through ongoing property management and resident education programs. Upon completion it will be one of the largest solar-powered communities in the world. For more information on Army Hawaii Family Housing log onto www.armyhawaiifamilyhousing.com
